Swimming

 You can swim year round in Linköping, either in one of the public pools or along the shores of our lakes.

The indoor water park, Linköpings Simhall, has one of Europe's longest waterslides and tons of activities for the whole family. Fanciful fun for the littlest ones, relaxation for those who want it and activities for everyone.

Linköping is also somewhat unique in offering a central outdoor pool in the heart of town. Tinnerbäcksbadet, called Tinnis by locals, celebrated its 70^th anniversary in 2008. It has a 50-metre pool and an artificial lake with a waterslide and an asphalt lakebed. To extend the swimming season, the water is heated with surplus heat from the municipality's district heat production.

On a hot, sunny summer day, it's great to pack a lunch and head off to one of the lakes around Linköping. Buses are available to take you to several of them.
