About Linköping

4. Fourth biggest metropolitan region This refers to Linköping and Norrköping, two of the country's largest cities and with their close proximity they make up the fourth metropolitan region. Living in this area are more than 450,000 people including 26,000 students at the joint University.

3. The third largest open air museum Gamla Linköping (Old Linköping) is Sweden's third largest open air museum, where Skansen in Stockholm is the largest. The area annually receives about 480,000 visitors.

2. Second biggest science park Mjärdevi Science Park, located in the vicinity of Linköping University, houses 230 companies with a total of 5,000 employees

1. Sweden's number-one aviation city. Linköping Airport is available to both scheduled as well as military flights. The history of aviation spans 80 years.
