Which opening times apply to the locks on the Kinda kanal and what is the cost of passage? Here you can see the annual cycle of times when you can take a leisure craft along the waterways and the canal.
High season 26 June - 13 August
Morning: 09.00 -12.00
Closed for lunch 12.00-13.00
Afternoon: 13.00-19.00
Commercial traffic takes precedence. Delays can occur.
Brokind Lock and marine service station
In Brokind there is a marine service station (diesel and petrol), which is open throughout the high season.
Tip! During the high season you can ring the lock keeper directly about 30 minutes before you plan to begin your canal trip to reduce possible waiting times. During the high season there is a current telephone number published on the homepage.

Low Season
All traffic during low season must pre-book via telephone or mail, no later than 13.00 two working days before the desired start date.

Open for pre-booked boats in convoy. Start 09.00 at Nykvarn Lock for upstream lock passage and at Brokind Lock for downstream passage. A convoy for the whole stretch is expected to terminate around 17.00 Lunch break around 12.00-13.00.

Lock passage at other times
Lock passage at times other than those specified above are allowed only if passage is possible. A surcharge of at least 400kr per boat or 600kr per group of boats is payable. Please contact the booking service in good time before the desired departure for prices, and confirmation on whether we have the possibility to grant you passage.
Lock fees
Single passage per lock: 100 SEK
Single trip entire canal stretch: 1100 SEK
Return trip entire canal stretch (also functions as a season ticket): 1850 SEK
Brokind Lock season ticket: 900 SEK
Sturefors Lock season ticket: 900 SEK
Nykvarn Lock return: 100 SEK
Canoe: 50 SEK per canoe and lock (Canoes get lock passage only downstream and in a group of 5 minimum)
Lock fees to be paid at the locks
In Brokind and Nykvarn payment by card is possible. Also swedish Swish mobile payment is avaliable. For security reasons cash is not accepted, thank you for your understanding.
