Imagine a sparkling series of contemporary circus performances in the middle of the city space, for three summer days in Linköping. On the 15-17 August Linköping Contemporary Circus Festival will be launched. The countdown has begun!
“I Dare You – Linköping Contemporary Circus Festival” is organised for the first time in Linköping, over three days in August. During the festival, spectacular artistic presentations with international influences and New Circus of the highest quality will be highlighted in the middle of town. Like an extraordinary and creative firework display of colour, acrobatics, innovation and daring – you are all welcome!
New Circus, or Contemporary Circus as it is also called, is a cross-border and inclusive art form which has grown enormously in the last 20 years. Not least with the Swedish and world-leading circus company Cirkus Cirkör in the vanguard. And Cirkus Cirkör will hold the world premiere of their new show, Bloom, in Linköping during the festival. An enthralling performance full of camaraderie, classical music and flowers.
