Soon you’ll be here – we long for it! There are several ways to get to our beautiful city, whether you like public transport or prefer to drive yourself, you are warmly welcome to Linköping.

Linköping is always close! With its strategic location on the E4 highway and the main railway line between Malmö and Stockholm, it’s easy to get here regardless of the means of transport. Linköping’s travel center is also centrally located, with hotels, restaurants, and shopping nearby, making it easy to get here sustainably by both train and bus.

By train

The obvious choice when traveling to Linköping is often the train. Departures are frequent thanks to Linköping’s location along the main railway line between Stockholm and Malmö. You can, for example, travel to Linköping with SJ, Mälartåg, Snälltåget, and Krösatåg. Once in Linköping, you can get around easily on Östgötatrafiken’s buses and commuter trains.

Linköping’s central station is a 5-minute walk from Linköping’s city center, and from the central station, there is a direct bus connection to take you further.

By bus

Traveling by long-distance bus to Linköping is often both convenient and sustainable! With long-distance buses, you arrive at Linköping’s Long-distance Bus Terminal, right next to Linköping’s Travel Center, with further connections to local transport and long-distance trains.
