Welcome to a jazz matinee with Agnes Persson Trio at Östergötlands museum!

The guitarist and composer Agnes Persson has in recent years established herself as one of the most exciting voices on the Swedish jazz scene. With her expressive compositions and unique tone, she has captured the attention of both audiences and critics.

For the 2026 tour, a deepening of the artistic expression is promised, where the trio continues to challenge themselves and their audience.

Her debut album ”In Collaboration With Flowers” (Havtorn Records, 2021) became a critic’s favorite and among other accolades resulted in a nomination for Newcomer of the Year at the 2022 edition of the prestigious Manifestgalan, as well as the title Guitar Jazz of the Year by Lira music magazine. In 2024, the sophomore album ”Listen Closely” was released, which was also praised by Lira describing it as ”even better and more personal than Agnes Persson’s debut album.”

Agnes Persson Trio consists of Persson herself on guitar, Jakob Ulmestrand on double bass, and Ludwig Aronsson on drums. Together they create a highly lively and dynamic soundscape that challenges the conventional jazz format. Constant movement between composition and improvisation, taking the listener on a journey of both subtle nuances and electrifying nerves.
