In the summer of 1978, Agneta Stark and Sven Lindqvist begin a love affair with obstacles. He is already married and she has other stories.
Their intense correspondence lasts for many years and encompasses everything, from current politics, literature, and work to love whispers, reproaches, erotica and – above all – »a special closeness«, a bond that seems to survive anything. During these years, Sven Lindqvist’s authorship also undergoes a drastic change, inspired by his new relationship with Agneta. »You fell in love with the author of a book about cement factories. And what have you done with him? He is now the author of En älskares dagbok.«
Agneta Stark, born in 1946 in Stockholm, is a Swedish feminist economist, author, and social debater who was the rector of Högskolan Dalarna between 2004 and 2010. She has written columns in Svenska Dagbladet and Dagens Arbete, is now a sharp and appreciated columnist in Dagens ETC, and lectures on economics and social issues in a gender equality perspective.
The program is conducted by the non-profit association Bokstödet, which is a friends association to Linköping’s bookstore.
