Kasino, or Johannes Runemark as he is also known, is a songwriter and guitarist and Gothenburg’s most romantic cowboy. However, it often leans towards a more bittersweet sound. And here americana and Swedish pop meet in a very successful way.
Kasino debuted as a solo artist in the spring of 2020 with the single “Skriva om dig,” which was then followed by the EP “Du.”
Previously, Johannes Runemark has written and produced songs for some of Sweden’s biggest artists such as Veronica Maggio, Miriam Bryant, Melissa Horn, and Thomas Stenström. In addition, at various times, he has picked up the guitar and played behind artists like First Aid Kit and Maja Francis.
In 2025, more music from Kasino has been released. As recently as September, the single “Ögonen” was released, where Kasino’s unmistakable bittersweet pop sensibility was revealed.
There are also rumors of further new music. And in the spring of 2026, Kasino will go on tour with one of the stops obviously being at Club Cherry Pie at Babettes Kulturpalats in Linköping!
The event is organized by Babettes cultural association with support from Linköping’s culture and leisure committee.
