Tribute to Lill-Babs – Lina Hedlund takes “Barbro Barbro” out in Sweden. After a sold-out run at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm, Lina Hedlund is now taking the successful show “Barbro Barbro” on the road. More locations will have the chance to experience this personal and glittering tribute to one of our most beloved artists – Barbro “Lill-Babs” Svensson.
– Barbro has always been my role model, both on and off the stage. To bring this show to life has been a dream and a passion project for many years, says Lina Hedlund.
“Barbro Barbro” is a musical love letter to the icon from Järvsö, where Lina Hedlund – also a Hälsingland-born showgirl – mixes Barbro’s biggest hits with anecdotes, humor and heart. With one foot in a rubber boot and the other in a stiletto, Lina offers the audience an evening filled with music, laughter, and nostalgia.
The idea for the show was born more than ten years ago, but it was not until the spring of 2023 that everything took off – when Sara Jangfeldt, then the manager at Soppteatern, offered Lina a role in a play. During rehearsals, Lina mentioned her old dream of doing something about Barbro. Six months later, Sara received an email from journalist Karin Thunberg, who thought a monologue about Lill-Babs should be made. Sara connected the two – and the rest is history.
Lina and Karin clicked immediately. During the winter of 2023, they began together forming what would become Barbro Barbro. Karin interviewed Lina, Lina chose songs, and the script took shape – conversation by conversation, meeting by meeting. Shortly thereafter, director Niki Gunke Stangertz joined, and the creative trio was complete.
I am so grateful and happy that it was Karin and Niki who have helped make Barbro Barbro possible – three women, three generations and a shared love for Barbro. It has become better than I could have ever dreamed of. And now I finally get to take it further and share it with all of Sweden, says Lina Hedlund.
The tour is organized by the artist agency Jubel in collaboration with Lina Hedlund.

The bag ban no longer applies to Konsert & Kongress, Saab Arena, and Stångebrofältet.
However, we recommend bringing a smaller bag – preferably no larger than 40 x 40 x 20 cm – to facilitate entry and storage. Bags may be searched at the entrance.

Linköping Concert & Congress is centrally located in Linköping, a short walk from the Travel Center. You can easily and environmentally friendly get here by bus or commuter train, see www.ostgotatrafiken.se www.ostgotatrafiken.se for timetables. From many parts of the city, it is also within walking distance to us.
