Svart Ridå is at the forefront as the country’s most obvious representative for the new wave of indie rock that has reached an ever-growing audience over the past year.
Uncompromising, explosive, and enchanting – with noisy guitar solos, captivating pop riffs, and dark, introverted lyrics. The music moves between the short and effective and the expansive, improvised, and euphoric. The atmosphere is magnetic.
If you’ve seen the band live, you know what many have already realized: Svart Ridå is among the absolute best you can experience on a Swedish stage this year.
In the spring, the band released their second full-length album Aponia, recorded at Svenska Grammofonstudion and praised by a unanimous group of critics. They then toured the country with Markus Krunegård, sold out club shows on their own, and released a cover of Kent’s “Om du var här” in Spotify’s “Singles” series.
