Welcome to Platens Bar on April 17 when Black Moon June performs!
Black Moon June is a hard rock band from Sweden, with roots in Hudiksvall. The band is known for its variety – the songs range from heavy doom metal riffs to melodic hard rock. Black Sabbath is one of the clear influences. Black Moon June was formed in 2022 by Mathias Holm Klarin, Conny Payne, and Toby W. Later, Christer Strand, Richie Rich, and Bobo Ölander joined the band. In the fall of 2024, the band released its critically acclaimed debut album, “The Witch Hammer,” which received, among other things, 7 out of 10 in Sweden Rock Magazine. The title track “Under A Black Moon Sky (The Witch Hammer)” is based on a true story: the witch trials of the late Middle Ages. 2025 has so far brought some singles, and the band has started playing live.
