Anastasía – “Göteborg sings Alf” with a big band is coming to Babettes on May 21!
Anastasía is an artist, singer, and musician with roots in both country and Greek folk tradition. Her voice is unique and timeless. At 27, she is making her debut as a solo artist with Göteborg Sings Alf, a personal tribute to songwriter Alf Robertson. On May 21, Anastasía will come with a big band, including Jesper Lindell and Nikke Ström (Nationalteatern among others), to Babettes Kulturpalats!
Göteborg Sings Alf was recorded live over two days at Jesper Lindell’s Brunnsvik Sounds Studio and was produced by Björn Pettersson, Jesper Lindell, and Rasmus Fors. The musicians formed an all-star band with Nikke Ström, Pontus Torstensson, Pablo Copa, Stefan Missios, Rasmus Fors, and Jesper Lindell. Anastasia interprets the material with great presence and brings new life to Robertson’s lyrics.
Anastasía has also gathered a long line of Gothenburg profiles who participate through singing, readings, or – in Björn Olsson’s case – whistling. Tomas von Brömssen, Ina Lundström, Thomas Stenström, Jesper Lindell, Björn Olsson, Valter Nilsson, Arvid Nero, Ebbot Lundberg, Stefan Missios, Egån Johansson, Bror Gunnar Jansson, Cornelia Adamsson, and Dan Berglund are all involved.
Support: Alexander Ringbäck
Alexander Ringbäck is part of the trio “Country after work” with Anastasia & Pablo Copa. In addition, he is a vispop songwriter from Gothenburg. His songs are about the Boss and the Neighbor and all the others. This spring, he is releasing his fourth album “Songs to Secure the Pension”. It is recorded together with Pablo Copa and Jacob Johansson (Det Stora Monstret). “The most relaxed everyday-life guitar pop since Docenterna” thought Johan Lindquist in GP about the first single Platsbanken. But maybe you don’t agree with that at all. Maybe you’re wondering what everyday-life guitar pop is as a genre. You might want to come and listen!
