Welcome to a winter break filled with creativity! During the winter break, Old Linköping transforms into one large workshop where small and large hands can create freely.

Escape the cold and step into our warm historical environments where we explore various crafts. Try everything from making your own wooden figures, painting your own paintings, to creating your very own dream waffle. Here, imagination takes center stage and the joy of creation is at the forefront.

Free entrance to the area – activity fees may apply.

Activities during the winter break program:

– Crafts at Bryggaregården 🪑
During the winter break, the museum opens its doors to Bryggaregården for a moment of creation together with our museum hosts. Here you can discover the day’s crafts in a historical environment.
We light a fire in the open fireplace to make it extra warm and cozy while creativity flows.

– Sip & Paint for kids and young people at Dahlbergs Café 🎨
Dahlbergs Café invites you to creative afternoons throughout the winter break! Here, children and young people can try “Sip & Paint” – a cozy moment where they can sit down, have a snack, and paint their very own paintings. Everything needed for the kids to unleash their imagination and create freely is provided.

In the price of 125 kr includes:

– Painting tools: Everything needed to create the painting.
– A steaming hot chocolate and a delicious cheese sandwich.

– Competition: Create your dream waffle at Skönfärgaregården Waffle Hut & Interior 🧇
Do you like waffles? Now you have the chance to create your very own waffle! The competition is at Skönfärgaregården’s Waffle Hut & Interior. On-site, you fill in a competition entry form where you name your waffle along with what you want on the waffle.

Everyone who participates receives a small prize, and the winner gets their waffle on the menu for a weekend. The winner also gets to come and try their own waffle for free at Skönfärgaregården’s Waffle Hut & Interior. The winner is jointly voted by the staff. Think how cool it would be – other guests can order just your waffle!

– Face painting with a fairy tale theme at Skönfärgaregården Waffle Hut & Interior 🖌️
Transform into a fairytale figure during the winter break! Friday, February 20, and Saturday, February 21, Skönfärgaregården Waffle Hut & Interior invites you to face painting with a magical fairy tale theme. As usual, it’s the fantastic Maya who stands for the enchanting transformations.

– Winter Break at Cloetta in Old Linköping: Come in and paint your own candy bag! 🍬
Come in and paint your own candy bag! When the bag is finished being painted, you are rewarded with a box of mints 🍭

– Winter Break at Cloetta in Old Linköping: “Come and hunt for Kexchoklad!” 🍫
7 large Kexchoklad have hidden around Old Linköping. Find them – and claim your reward in the Chocolate Shop afterward!

– Winter Break Investigations at LasseMajas Detective House
Lasse and Maja are preparing for their annual winter break investigation, but they need help to understand what the police chief wants them to bring. At the Detective House, many magnifying glasses have disappeared, and Lasse and Maja now need your help to find all the magnifying glasses and figure out what word the letters form.

– Crafts with Humlan: Winter Break Crafts for Children 🌿
Come and join winter break crafting with Humlans Gröna! Recommended age from 6 years.Date: Monday, February 16 and Thursday, February 19

– Bead Crafts at Just Wood 🌲
Unleash creativity with wooden beads🪵 In the Tallbarr Bar, Just Wood sets up with wooden beads in all colors during the winter break. Come and craft together! Make a personal bracelet for 35 kr or collect loose beads for necklaces and larger creations.

– Animals & Nature – Competition Round at Ankungen
Welcome to the magical world of fairy tales!

– Carpentry and build wooden figures together with Lizas Crafts in Sara’s Garden Shop ⚒️
Here you can draw and design your own figure! You start by sketching how it should look and then try various techniques, such as sawing, nailing, drilling, screwing, and gluing, to build your figure.

Pictures with examples of how the figures can look when finished will be published on Instagram and Facebook (Lizas Crafts) shortly. This will be a workshop where you can truly use your joy of creation and creativity!

Who can participate?
– Children between 6 and 8 years: Participate together with a crafting adult.
– Children from 9 years: Can choose to come alone or together with an adult.

Number: Max 4 participants at a time

Welcome to a moment of writing joy! Cecilia Stevrin, EngageUs, author, and coach, invites both young and old to a creative moment with words and stories. You can try creative writing exercises and create short stories. You can participate together – children, parents, grandchildren, grandparents, friends – or try on your own.
