Johan Boding & Jonas Gideon, two close friends who are now achieving great success with their joint show Elton John meets Freddie Mercury! After sold-out concert halls and praises from the audience that never seem to end, it is now confirmed that the duo with their fantastic band will embark on a major Sweden tour in the fall of 2026.
The audience will be treated to a truly unique concert experience as they, together with some of Sweden’s foremost musicians, interpret Elton John and Freddie Mercury’s impressive musical repertoire in a sparkling and visual show. The audience is guaranteed to have an experience beyond the ordinary.
Performing Elton & Freddie’s music requires quite a lot, Johan Boding and Jonas Gideon are undoubtedly among the very best we have in Sweden for this task. Elton John & Freddie Mercury met in the 70s when their careers were at their peak, a deep respect and friendship were born between the two. Unfortunately, they did not do much on stage and musically together. This is what Johan and Jonas now want to create, what could a musical meeting look like between these two giants?
Johan Boding – is definitely one of Sweden’s most skilled singers with a voice that touches deeply. He has toured around the world, primarily in arena shows that pay tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen, but also in successful productions like “Thank you for the music”, “Sol vind och vatten” and “Den Svenska Sångboken”. Johan has also done several Rhapsody in Rock, and as a musical star, we have seen him in, among others, Miss Saigon and Jesus Christ Superstar.
Jonas Gideon – is a Swedish musician, singer, and pianist whose passion for music was awakened already in childhood. At the age of eight, he began playing Elton John’s songs on the piano, which laid the foundation for his musical career. A decisive moment occurred in 1998 when he accidentally met Elton John before a concert at Ullevi in Gothenburg. This meeting inspired him to learn almost 200 of Elton’s songs and to see him live 14 times. After 20 years as a musician, he launched “A True Elton John Tribute” in 2023, a tribute show that quickly became a success with sold-out performances and glowing reviews. During his career, Jonas has collaborated with several of Sweden’s top artists, including Carola, Molly Sandén, Jennifer Brown, Victor Norén, and Janne Schaffer.

The bag ban no longer applies to Konsert & Kongress, Saab Arena, and Stångebrofältet.
However, we recommend bringing a smaller bag – preferably no larger than 40 x 40 x 20 cm – to facilitate entry and storage. Bags may be searched at the entrance.

Linköping Concert & Congress is centrally located in Linköping, a short walk from the Travel Center. You can easily and environmentally friendly get here by bus or commuter train, see www.ostgotatrafiken.se www.ostgotatrafiken.se for timetables. From many parts of the city, it is also within walking distance to us.
