Viper + Occrasy

On April 10, Skylten in Linköping transforms into a gathering point for riff-driven rock when Luleå’s underground favorites Huggorm take the stage together with one of Sweden’s currently talked-about new rock bands, Occrasy.

Those who have already discovered Huggorm know what to expect: an explosive mix of weight, euphoria, and pure joy of playing. It is both well-crafted and intense – with a presence that feels as natural as it is electric.

The story behind Huggorm gained momentum in 2017, when an otherwise catastrophic house party ended with Christoffer Wennberg and Joakim Brännvall sitting down and writing “Demoner i skallen.” The concept had been brewing for a long time – to unite their combined influences and let inspiration from Queen, Kiss, and Johnny Thunders meet in big choruses, strong melodies, twin guitars, and lyrics about life, death, and everything in between.

During the 2025 festival tour, Huggorm debuted at the Sweden Rock Festival with an equally talked-about and acclaimed performance in a packed Pistonhead tent – a concert that also received top ratings from, among others, Rocknytt. The acclaimed festival performance was quickly followed by the release of the single “Ruiner” and sold-out club shows around the country.

On March 6, the debut album “En värdelös historia” is released and will be accompanied by a club tour across the country.

Sweden’s new rock stars are five friends from Borlänge who just over a year ago began playing Mando Diao covers in a basement as an antidote to boredom. However, it didn’t take long before the cover songs turned into their own material, and today they are considered one of the country’s most talked-about new rock bands. With a pulsating and distinctive stage presence, they have quickly risen as one of the strongest names in the wave of unfiltered guitar music currently sweeping over Sweden.
