A solo performance for two people about three future kings. A balancing act between love and madness, sorrow and happiness.
The actor Joakim Fernström has Down syndrome. When he and Mosaikteatern’s artistic director Daniel Rudholm tackled Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the literary text was not the way to go. Another way to tell the story was needed. Images, sound, music, and movement. In the process, two more stories emerged: The Lion King and the story of Joakim’s own birth. Three stories intertwine. Directed by: Daniel Rudholm
Narration is humanity’s most original way to create meaning and cohesion. What stories do we tell and why? Why are Shakespeare’s plays still relevant to us today? How do stories echo through history?
