Welcome to a family day at the Öna cultural reserve on Saturday, May 9!
The small village of Öna is located in a rocky landscape, deep in the forest near Stensjön. Here you will find small log cabins and buildings from the 17th century among others. A guided tour is also available on Sunday, May 10.
On Saturday you can join guided tours and learn about the history of the houses and the surrounding environment. Let the children try crafts activities, listen to folk music, and/or take a pleasant quiz walk in the beautiful cultural reserve. Swedish native breeds such as rabbits and hens are also present. Coffee and cake are served during the day.
Program May 9:
10:00 AM Önadagen opens.
11:45 AM–12:10 PM Eastern Swedish folk music with Folklekarne.
12:15 PM Tour of the houses with the museum’s building conservator Klara Johansson.
1:00 PM–1:15 PM Eastern Swedish folk music with Folkekarne.
1:20 PM Conservationist Clas Lundström leads a tour about the forest and the lands.
2:15 PM Tour of the houses with the museum’s building conservator Klara Johansson.
3:00 PM–3:15 PM Eastern Swedish folk music with Folklekarne.
All day:
The craft instructor and carpenter Daniel Byström leads craft activities for children.
Meet Swedish native breeds, such as rabbits and hens.
Quiz walk for young and old.
Conservationist Clas Lundström is present and is happy to tell more about the work with fences for the curious.
Refreshments with coffee and cakes.
Tour May 10:
Öna expert Annika Johansson talks about the people who have lived and stayed here. The cabins can also be seen from the inside. Gathering at the parking lot at 1:00 PM.
Cost: 130 SEK. 110 SEK for pensioners/students. Free up to 18 years. Paid with Swish on site.
