About the concert
Towards the end of the 19th century, Spanish motifs became popular in music – the most well-known result is perhaps Bizet’s Carmen. With his Spanish heritage, Édouard Lalo also had a special feeling for Spain. We can hear this in his sparkling and virtuosic violin concerto. Here, dramatic sections meet rhythmic flamenco motifs. Everything combines into a sparkling southern fiesta. The highly sought-after violinist Clara-Jumi Kang performs the concerto on a Stradivarius from 1702.
The Spanish interest also spread all the way to Russia, where Rimsky-Korsakov wrote his Capriccio espagnole. The piece is based on Spanish folk melodies, and the final part, a fandango asturiano with many beautiful solos, leads to a brilliant ending.

The bag ban no longer applies to Konsert & Kongress, Saab Arena, and Stångebrofältet.
However, we recommend bringing a smaller bag – preferably no larger than 40 x 40 x 20 cm – to facilitate entry and storage. Bags may be searched at the entrance.

From many parts of the city, it is also within walking distance to us.
