Welcome to a walk and guided tour of Vreta Abbey Church!
Get to know your exciting homeland and Vreta Abbey’s fascinating past. What secrets lie beneath the ground in your home area? Who were those who lived and worked in the unique old houses in the village? What did Vreta look like during the abbey’s heyday?
The Klosterliv i Vreta Association invites you to three free theme evenings this spring, for everyone who wants to discover Vreta Abbey’s exciting region.
The lecturers are archaeologists who have worked in the area and contributed to the Vreta Book, as well as the association’s guides.
No cost, no registration: Come and join one or all three meetings!
April 14: From Stone Age to the Middle Ages: Indoor archaeological lecture about ancient remains found in the parish since the Stone Age and findings discovered up until the Middle Ages.
April 20: Walk and guided tour about houses in the church village and the settlement up to the canal.
May 5: Walk and guided tour of the church and abbey
Gather at 18:30 at Vreta Abbey Church’s parking lot. Welcome!
