Waterkind | Dance Network Sweden

Land before time is an artist-driven collaboration consisting of Joanna Holewa Chrona and Yared Tilahun Cederlund. With roots in street dance, their collaboration has developed into a flowing and unique dance practice, deeply inspired by the rhythm and movement of water.

In the performance Waterkind, the invisible, yet strong, connection between two bodies without physical contact is explored. Through improvisation, the duo allows their dance to engage in a nuanced dialogue with each other. Every movement is part of a flow reminiscent of the continuous streams and rhythms of water. It becomes a dance that combines freestyle and popping into a powerful and distinct language. Waterkind is an artistic exploration of the invisible bonds that bind us together – both engaging and seductive in its expressiveness and presence.
