Thursday, April 16 at 18.00, Erik Petersson will come to Linköping’s castle and cathedral museum and lecture about the role of noblewomen during the Great Power era.
We will meet, among others, Anna Bååt — Axel Oxenstierna’s wife during a 40-year marriage, Anna Margareta von Haugwitz — married to the charismatic military leader Carl Gustaf Wrangel, and also Christina Piper — who, after her husband Carl Piper’s death, took over the management of estates and, among other things, established Sturefors Castle.
