S:t Lars kyrka

S:t Lars kyrka is located in the heart of Linköping, and from its tower, a beautiful carillon plays five times a day for the city’s residents. S:t Lars has the appearance of a classical 19th-century church with a distinctive tower.

Inside the church, instead of a traditional altarpiece, there is a marble “choir wall.” The former altarpieces, painted by Pehr Hörberg, are now placed on either side of the large organ.

The church’s former north portal has been replaced by a glass artwork by Staffan Löwstedt, and this is where the church’s baptismal font is located. Groups can gather in the church’s parish hall, and the church square is available for activities such as church coffee.
