Looking for some winter fun with a sled, snow racer, or toboggan? These popular sledding spots in Linköping might be just what you’re looking for:

• Vallabackarna is ocated on the edge of Vallaskogen forest. Park at Vallamuseerna, and the hills are just a short walk away.
• Skarpan situated along Haningeleden, with the entrance directly opposite Tinnerö. If you’re driving from the Garnisonsrondellen roundabout towards Vidingsjö, you’ll see the hill on the left-hand side, right by the entrance after Coop Extra.
• Vidingsjö Motionscentrum, about 1 km from Skarpan, this area offers another great spot for sledding and winter fun.
• Ryd Activity Park, a purpose-built sledding hill is available here, with one steep side and a gentler slope on the other—perfect for both kids and adults.
• Himnafjället in Linghem, this local gem in the outskirts of Linköping is a favorite among residents.

Ice Skating

Linköping offers a variety of ice skating facilities, including four indoor ice rinks, a bandy field, and an ice track. Stångebro Area hosts three indoor ice rinks, including the renowned Saab Arena, the municipality’s flagship venue with a seating capacity of 8,500. Located north of the city there is also Ljungsbro Recreation Center, this ice rink is an excellent choice for skating enthusiasts.
