Our sustainability efforts

At Visit Linköping & Co, we have long experience in tourism, events, and meetings, and as one of Sweden’s leading destination companies, we have a great responsibility to shape a sustainable and inclusive future for our city and tourism industry. 

We strive to create an attractive destination with experiences, events, and job opportunities where sustainable development is a cornerstone of our work. Tourism, events, and meetings create many opportunities for our city, but it also comes with its challenges. Impact on the climate, resource consumption, and business ethics are some of the challenges the business faces, and therefore sustainability must be an obvious part of the company’s future development.

To ensure continuous sustainability work that contributes to fulfilling the goals of Agenda 2030, our sustainability work is based on the 17 global goals for sustainable development. The sustainability issues that the business works with mainly contribute to the global goals 3, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 16.

We actively work with sustainability within our various business areas. Our sustainability work encompasses both the operations we conduct ourselves within meetings and events, but we also have an important role as a driver and inspirer for sustainability work within the destination.
