Carl-Johan Vallgren live at Östergötlands Museum

After 16 years, Carl-Johan Vallgren returns to music with “Kaddish” – an intimate album about love, loss, and grief.

The album is one half of a twin work together with the novel “Kärleken”, where both works revolve around the wife’s passing from cancer and the memories that follow. “Kaddish” is recorded with a small ensemble in production by Johan Lindström and marks Vallgren’s first album release since “Nattbok“ from 2010. When the writing of a sequel to the acclaimed novel “Din tid kommer” could not manifest, he instead picked up the guitar – and soon both the album and the novel developed in parallel.

Now, Carl-Johan Vallgren takes the music on the road together with his band. A personal concert about love, loss, and life afterward.
