City walk around Linköping.
Linköping has origins as a diocese since the early 1100s and as a city since 1287, when King Magnus Ladulås dedicated land to a Franciscan monastery at the current Hospitalstorget. The city grew slowly between the two churches, S:t Lars and the Cathedral, both from the 1100s and is today Sweden’s fifth largest municipality. A classic city walk takes you from the early Middle Ages to the present in 60 minutes!
Starting point: Folke Filbyter statue, Stora Torget
Price: 100 kr adult, 50 kr youth (6-16 years), children under 6 years free. Cash or Swish.
The walk moves through central Linköping. There is a passage that consists of cobblestones.
