Hunnebergsgatan is one of the oldest entrances to Linköping, perhaps even part of the old Eriksgatan’s route. Join a guided tour and gain more knowledge about the colorful people who lived and worked along the street during the 1800s and the early 1900s.

Along Hunnebergsgatan lived both the rich and the poor, here the integration was truly total. Uncle Adam, i.e., Carl Anton Wetterbergh, doctor and author, lived next door to Candy-Mimmi and Uncle Alrik with the wooden leg. He who did not want to be a burden on the poor relief and built a small house of his own. Here were several beer taverns and pubs, an eldorado for the drunken Luntan and his companions.

The family of Count Carl Wilhelm Douglas moved to Hunnebergsgatan after the castle fire in Stjärnorp in 1789. And in the old farms 7 – 9 lived butchers and home seamstresses, neighbors with Branten’s more or less faded flowers.
