About young love and old myths with Elin Cullhed and Joel Halldorf.

The August Prize-winning author Elin Cullhed has written a book about young love and old myths. A novel about the journey through the disappointments of teenage years towards the fragile coming of age. “Eurydice’s Night” has been praised by reviewers and described as touching, empathetic, and a darkly shimmering love novel.

At Babettes literary salon, she meets theologian and author Joel Halldorf in a conversation about the light and darkness of love and what the Greek myths can teach us today.

Elin Cullhed debuted in 2016 with a novel for young adults, Gudarna, which was praised by critics and readers. In 2021, she was awarded the August Prize in the fiction category for her novel Euphoria – a novel about Sylvia Plath. Euphoria has been published in twenty-six countries and nominated for the Prix Médicis Étranger in France and the Premio Strega in Italy.

The café is open before the event for food, snacks, and drinks.

The event is organized by Babettes cultural association in collaboration with the Association Valv with support from Linköping’s Cultural and Leisure Board.
