Loke Nyberg

Loke Nyberg is an artist from Gothenburg and has been active for over 20 years. He has played in all the Swedish provinces as well as in Norway and Finland on various stages.

The motto “No stage is too small. No stage is too big” has taken him to everything from some of the Nordic countries’ most respected festivals to private parties, nudist weddings, rugged clubs, football pubs, funerals, and fraternal societies to mention a few contexts. On the second of May 2026, he released his fifth full-length album “Some Form of Free”.

Musically, Loke is a tree with roots deeply anchored in the Swedish folk tradition. The trunk consists of his subcultural identity, a love of unabashed drama, and a focus on storytelling and pictorial lyrics. The untrimmed branches are allowed to spread in different directions and reach towards everything from rusty jazz to Dala psalm tones, musical drama, and Gothenburg pop. As an uncompromising, timeless, unfashionable, and particularly analog contrast to contemporary AI-produced music.
