Pettersson’s Seventh – Norrköping Symphony Orchestra
- Linköping Konsert & Kongress
- Organizer: Norrköpings Symfoniorkester
In 2026, the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra and conductor Christian Lindberg completed their world-unique, sixteen-year-long recording project with all of Allan Pettersson’s orchestral works. With this concert, the journey with Allan Pettersson’s music continues. This time, the orchestra interprets the famous Seventh Symphony together with chief conductor Karl-Heinz Steffens. The symphony is composed in a single long movement, where dark tones alternate with sweet strings.
The concert begins with Debussy’s Afternoon of a Faun, a symbolist masterpiece that opened up for modernism.
Included in the subscription series Short Classics. Go more to concerts – save up to 1,185 SEK with a subscription. Single tickets for the spring concerts will be released on October 21, 2026.
