Air Force Museum

At the Air Force Museum’s exhibition Ready to Fly – the Swedish Air Force Takes Shape, you can view about thirty military aircraft from the first half of the twentieth century. From the very first military aircraft, Nyrop No. 3, also called “Bryggarkärran,” to the first domestically designed and manufactured jet aircraft Saab J 21R. Together with the aircraft, we tell the stories of the people who made the air force possible – All were involved in laying the foundation for today’s modern air force.

Don’t miss that the museum offers children’s tours where children between 3-7 years can enjoy playful and exciting tours of the exhibitions. On Fridays, the Air Force Museum also has particularly fun and interesting activities for those who want to visit the museum with small children. Children can also play at Leklanda, where they can drive around the tracks, refuel their vehicle, and take photos with the mascots Drakel and Viggo. Or why not try what it feels like to be a pilot by flying yourself in the Flight Lab’s simulator?

The Air Force Museum’s exhibitions are intended to suit as many people as possible, but since they tell of war and weapons, some parts of the exhibitions can be perceived as disturbing. But children are different – just like adults. Consult the staff at the reception if you feel unsure.

Saturday all week

We’ve all perhaps experienced that it can be easy to get a bit gloomy when the weather feels boring. So why not treat yourself to something nice? Let the week become one long Saturday. Because you know what happens on Saturdays? Saturday candy of course!

Head out to Sweden’s Chocolate City Ljungsbro! Here you will find the home of Cloetta and many candy favorites. Perfect for those who wish for something a little more luxurious than the hard pick and mix candy from the grocery store.

While you’re in the Ljungsbro area, take the opportunity to check out all the other things nearby. For example, Bergs Slussar, Vreta kloster church and church ruin, or perhaps Ljungsbro activity park.
