Walk Around Rängen
Rängen Runt is a very popular hiking trail that offers several exciting stops along a 45-kilometer-long stretch that goes around the lake. The hiking trail follows the Östgötaleden, and along the roads, you’ll encounter varied nature, many beaches, and lodging where you can literally choose between a castle and a cabin. The castle you can glimpse in the picture below is the beautiful baroque castle Nya slottet Bjärka Säby, well worth a visit year-round! More information about the castle can be found here.

Paddle
Lake Stora Rängen is suitable for both more experienced paddlers and beginners. Here you paddle on open water, but if you’re looking for an easier route, you can take the narrow passage from Lake Stora Rängen to Lake Lilla Rängen.

Flea Markets and Farm Shops
If you’re interested in flea markets and second-hand items, 73:an’s flea market is the perfect place for you. In the heart of the oak landscape and a stone’s throw from Stafsäter’s Farm Ice Cream, you can find everything from clothes and jewelry to porcelain. More information can be found here.
