There are several ways to explore Kinda Kanal whether you want to be on the water or stay on land. What all the ways have in common are fantastic views and lush nature.
On your own by boat
With its 15 hand-operated locks, Kinda Kanal covers a distance of 80 kilometers and winds right through the heart of Östergötland. You can reach all the way from Linköping in the north to the towns of Horn and Hycklinge in the south through a tour with your leisure boat. The canal’s character varies along the journey – whether you prefer nature and culture, the calm stillness or good food made from local ingredients, everything is within reach on a boat tour. There are simply many treasures to discover here!
Cruise on Kinda Kanal
For those who do not explore Kinda Kanal with their own boat, there is the opportunity to join a breathtakingly beautiful day trip, evening trip or shorter journey with a passenger boat. A cruise along Kinda Kanal is a journey through landscapes and captivating scenery. It is also a great journey through time, in the small world. Paddle on Kinda Kanal
Kinda Kanal and its lake system offer excellent paddle waters for much of the year. Canoe docks are available in connection to all locks so you can portage around the locks. For those who do not want to lock, there is fantastic paddling on the large lakes in the south.
Hike or cycle along Kinda Kanal
A wonderful way to discover Kinda Kanal’s nature is on foot or by bike. You get close to nature and enjoy first-class views along the way. Simply enjoy the tranquility of exploring the canal at your own pace.
