Club Cherry Pie proudly presents a summer special with three artists: Aaron Lee Tasjan, Kashena Sampson & Leon Majcen
A cherry on top event! Don’t miss out!

In the past decade, Aaron Lee Tasjan has established himself as a prominent songwriter and artist. Through a series of acclaimed albums, he has built a loyal audience worldwide thanks to his unique songs, passionate live shows, and his indie folk style with his great storytelling and performances.

Aaron Lee Tasjan is currently promoting his new album “Get Over it, Underdog” (release at the end of May). An album that was created after a period filled with doubt and creative drought. Aaron contacted his mentor Todd Snider, who gave the wise advice ‘You can find your path forward by going backwards’. And it worked. Tasjan went back to the basics, to songwriting itself, performed a series of solo shows with an acoustic guitar, and suddenly everything fell into place. A stream of songs emerged, were recorded, and became “Get Over it, Underdog”. Tragically, mentor Todd Snider passed away before he could hear the result.

An immensely talented artist, singer, guitarist, and songwriter who is now finally returning to Rootsyland, and on August 19, 2026, Aaron Lee Tasjan is coming to Club Cherry Pie at Babettes Kulturpalats in Linköping!

The same evening, we are also presenting two additional American acts: Kashena Sampson and Leon Majcen.

Kashena Sampson:
Nashville-based Kashena Sampson was praised for her 70s-scented folk rock when she broke through about 10 years ago. She was then compared to greats like Stevie Nicks and Linda Ronstadt. But along the way, she has broadened the boundaries to create a kind of psychedelic folk rock on the border between Americana and indie rock. Kashena is a spectacular live artist with a grand voice – she has been described as having “lungs that can shake the walls of an opera house”.

Leon Majcen:
Leon Majcen’s parents fled from the war in Bosnia, and he grew up in Florida. At a young age, he fell head over heels for folk singers and ‘storytellers’ like Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, Bob Dylan, and Guy Clark. He made his record debut in 2020 and has now released a total of four full-length albums and a series of fine singles and EPs. Majcen is as productive as few others, and with each record and concert, his presence and personal expression become stronger.
