Lars Winnerbäck Club Nypon
- Saab Arena, Gumpekullavägen 1
- Organizer: United Stage i samarbete med Visit Linköping & Co.
For the second year: Lars Winnerbäck is performing at Saab Arena in his hometown and awarding the Nypon Prize
Klubb Nypon. That is the name of the full evening Lars Winnerbäck is organizing for the second year
at Saab Arena in his hometown Linköping on December 5. A Winnerbäck concert with a
series of specially invited guest artists.
For one evening, the classic rink Saab Arena, among Winnerbäck’s audience, will be transformed
into a rock club. In 2025, Lasse was joined on stage by Thomas Stenström, Nicole
Sabouné, Hurula, Tobias Forge (Ghost), Sarah Klang, Erlend Ropstad, and at the DJ booth
were Christopher Garplind and Fredrik Strage.
On October 28 at 12:00, only 3,000 tickets for the floor will be released. Last year, the tickets
sold out in a few minutes.
Lars Winnerbäck’s Foundation aims to promote cultural life in Linköping Municipality.
This is done by the foundation annually awarding a scholarship of 100,000:- to one or more enthusiasts who contribute to enriching cultural life in Linköping. The recipient also receives a nypon made by a craftsman active in Östergötland.
The award ceremony for the 11th Nypon Prize will take place this year at Babettes
Kulturpalats in Linköping at 16:30 on December 5. Music by the band Klorin and conversations with Lars Winnerbäck, awardees, and craftsmen. Host Jan Gradvall (who served on the foundation’s board during the first years).
Klubb Nypon
The same evening, Lars Winnerbäck and his band will take over Saab Arena, which for the evening will be dressed as a club. We will cover the rink, build a bar and a club stage, to create the feeling of that larger rock club that is missing in more and more cities.
Not a “typical Winnerbäck performance,” but expect some well-known highlights. This will be a tribute to the club scene, live music, and all the enthusiasts. All night long!

Lars Winnerbäck’s Foundation has the task of promoting cultural life in the municipality of Linköping. This is done by the foundation awarding a scholarship of 100,000 kronor each year to one or more enthusiasts who contribute to enriching the cultural life in Linköping. The recipient also receives a rosehip made by a craftsman working in Östergötland.
The first scholarship was awarded at Linköping Konsert & Kongress in March 2016. Previous recipients are Edvard Nissen at Bengans Skivbutik (2025), Mona Larsson and Tedde Tillberg (2024), Jakob Graf (2023), Åke Andersson and Anders Karlsson (2022), Ben Kersley (2021), Sami Rahim (2020), Ulrika Reinholdsson (2019), Sam Anlér (2018), Kaj Sivervik and Patrik Lindecrantz (2017) and Erika Wessbo, Lydia Halldorf and Christina Eveborn (2016).
For 30 years, Winnerbäck has brought Swedish melancholy to the stage and put words to a whole generation’s feelings. In fifteen studio albums, he has created his own, distinctly recognizable, language and coined perhaps the most Swedish word we have: tandläkarväder.
In the spring of 2026, Lars Winnerbäck, together with his beloved live band, traveled down to southern France and Provence. The destination was La Fabrique, the recording studio where, among others, Radiohead, Nick Cave, and Mika have created classics. The result was the album Längtan till våren, released in September 2026. All the songs on the album went straight into the Top 50 on Spotify.
In the fall of 2023, Winnerbäck went on a sold-out arena tour, and in the summer of 2024, over 140,000 people attended the big summer tour. In 2025, Winnerbäck set an attendance record at the Rosendal Garden Party in Stockholm when he performed the summer’s only concert in front of 15,850 people.
In the fall of 2026, Winnerbäck will embark on a major arena tour across Sweden and in Norway. Classic tour premiere in Linköping, followed by stops at Scandinavium (Gothenburg), Malmö Arena, Avicii Arena (Stockholm), Oslo Spektrum, and many more.
In the spring of 2027, a tour awaits in northern Sweden, northern Norway, Finland, and Denmark.
