New Castle Bjärka-Säby

The New Castle Bjärka-Säby with its beautiful scenic surroundings is open year-round for people seeking peace and tranquility or wanting to retreat for study and conversation, individually or in groups.

Seminars and conferences with varying focuses are also held here, as well as different types of camps.

During the summer months, the Castle Café is open to the public and historical guided tours are offered. In the summer, we also offer concerts in the Rotunda. The worship life in the Castle Chapel and the Upper Hall lends an inner rhythm to the environment and makes it a spiritual oasis for many.

The tradition of the New Castle serving as a spiritual and cultural center with an ecumenical profile has been carried on by the Pentecostal Church Linköping, which took over the castle as a donation from the Ekman family in 1980.

Pray and work. To be, not to be seen. These two mottos shine at the visitor from a stained-glass window in the castle café. With these as a life philosophy, estate owner Oscar Ekman shaped life in Bjärka-Säby for half a century. Here, in the early 20th century, an open and generous environment was formed that became life-giving for many.
