S:t Lars Church

S:t Lars Church is located in the middle of Linköping, and from its tower, a beautiful carillon plays for the city’s inhabitants five times a day. S:t Lars is, in appearance, a classic 19th-century church with a characteristic tower.

Inside the church, instead of a traditional altarpiece, there is a “choir wall” made of marble. The former altarpieces, painted by Pehr Hörberg, are now placed on either side of the grand organ.

The church’s former northern gate has been replaced by a glass artwork by Staffan Löwstedt, and here is the church’s baptismal area. Groups can be seen in the church’s parish hall, and the church square is available for activities such as church coffee.
