Armed Forces Air Days 2026

In 2026, the Air Force turns 100 years old, which will be commemorated with several events throughout the year. The celebration will culminate on August 22–23 with Jubilee Air Shows at Malmen in Linköping.

The Air Shows will be the highlight of the Air Force’s extensive 100th-anniversary celebration taking place throughout 2026. The Air Shows will be held on August 22–23 with the same program on both days. The flight program will be conducted in the morning and afternoon with a noise break in the middle of the day. The days will feature air displays with both Swedish and international aircraft. The theme is past, present, and future.

The event will offer both air and ground exhibitions from both the military and civil defense. Learn more about the work being done to defend Sweden’s airspace against violations and your freedom to live as you choose. Take the opportunity to meet soldiers, pilots, technicians, and other personnel from the Armed Forces.

Do not take the car unless you absolutely have to. The roads around the Malmen airbase will be heavily congested during the Air Shows, and very long traffic queues are expected. Taking shuttle buses from Linköping Travel Center is the absolute best option to get to the Air Show. Free extra shuttle buses run regularly between Railway Avenue at Linköping Travel Center and the Air Show area. For those living in or near Linköping, cycling or walking is a very good option. Bicycle paths lead all the way to the area, allowing you to avoid both queues and car parking.
