Armed Forces Air Days 2026

In 2026, the Air Force will celebrate its 100th anniversary, which will be commemorated with several events throughout the year. The celebration culminates on August 22–23 with the Jubilee Air Show at Malmen in Linköping.

The air show will be the highlight of the Air Force’s extensive 100th-anniversary celebration, which will be ongoing throughout 2026. The air show will take place on August 22–23 with the same program each day. The flight program will be held in the morning and afternoon, with a noise break in the middle of the day. The days will feature air displays with both Swedish and international aircraft. The theme is past, present, and future.

The event will feature both air and ground exhibitions from both the military and civilian defense. Learn more about the work being done to defend Sweden’s airspace from violations and your freedom to live as you choose. Also, take the chance to meet soldiers, pilots, technicians, and other personnel from the Armed Forces.

Do not drive unless you absolutely have to. The roads around Malmen airbase will be heavily congested during the Air Show, and very long traffic jams are expected. Taking the shuttle buses from Linköping Travel Center is by far the best option to get to the Air Show. Free, extra shuttle buses run regularly between Railway Avenue at Linköping Travel Center and the Air Show area. For those living in or near Linköping, cycling or walking is a very good alternative. Bike paths lead all the way to the area and allow you to avoid both traffic jams and car parking.
