The success is a fact, after an autumn and summer with sold-out concert halls and summer venues across Sweden, the radio hit “Til the music starts again,” “Working Man,” and praise from both the audience and the media, Banna Sona Band embarks on a Christmas-inspired winter tour in 2026.
Banna Sona Band was started in January 2025, a project that took years to prepare. Kalle Moraeus and Frida Öhrn have handpicked twelve musicians for their 14-piece band, each carefully selected to create the magic that Banna Sona Band aims to achieve.
With a repertoire that blends Swedish and Irish folk music as well as Americana, this is something we’ve never seen before on a Swedish stage. Banna Sona means “The Happy Band” in Irish, and that’s the feeling they want to live up to. The guiding principles are joy of playing, energy, and musicality of the highest class.
Some of Sweden’s absolutely most skilled musicians and artists are now coming together to create a magical concert experience, and we dare to promise goosebumps, joy, fellowship, and warmth in a completely unique concept.
The audience will hear the band’s unique interpretations of Christmas classics and Christmas-inspired versions of folk music and Americana, and of course, Banna Sona Band’s own music.
All to give the audience a new, yet traditional, repertoire and bring Christmas spirit to both soul & heart. Get in the mood with “the happy band” as they create magic during the winter of 2026.

The bag ban no longer applies to Konsert & Kongress, Saab Arena, and Stångebrofältet.
However, we recommend bringing a smaller bag – preferably no larger than 40 x 40 x 20 cm – to facilitate entry and storage. Bags may be searched at the entrance.

Linköping Concert & Congress is centrally located in Linköping, a short walk from the Travel Center. You can easily and environmentally friendly get here by bus or commuter train, see www.ostgotatrafiken.se www.ostgotatrafiken.se for timetables. From many parts of the city, it is also within walking distance to us.
