Molly Hammar embarks on her biggest tour yet – releasing debut album this fall
With the new single “Aldrig ensam igen,” Molly Hammar marks the start of a new chapter. This fall, the debut album “Livsvittne” will be released, followed by an extensive tour across Sweden and Finland.
Molly Hammar is back with new music. The single “Aldrig ensam igen” is written together with songwriter and producer Peter Kvint (Darin, Albin Lee Meldau, among others) and is taken from the upcoming debut album “Livsvittne”, which will be released in the fall. The album is eagerly awaited and deeply personal – a clear milestone in her career. In conjunction with the release, she will also go on tour.
After 15 years as an artist, Molly Hammar is now releasing her first full-length album – a work that has grown over time, experience, and a strong artistic search. Over the past year, she has worked closely with Peter Kvint in the studio, in an organic and deepened process where she has landed in her expression. The result is an album that feels both timeless and contemporary, with strong melodies and soulful lyrics where her voice takes center stage.
The new single “Aldrig ensam igen” is an uplifting love anthem about daring to embrace happiness fully.
Molly explains:
–“Aldrig ensam igen” is about daring to be in the good in life, in the light, and being well, without worry. It’s okay to be super happy. I’ve probably struggled with it before – it’s like everyone strives for happiness, and when you finally have it, you hardly dare to believe it and be present in it. For me, it has been a process, reinforced by meeting someone who really sees me for who I am.
On October 22, Molly Hammar’s tour premiere will be in Örebro. After that, an extensive tour follows across the country, where the audience will meet her in a new chapter of her career. The tour bears the same name as the album “Livsvittne” and ties the whole together – from songwriting to live performance.
– Not playing live has started to feel like an unnatural reality for me, where I become an under-stimulated and frustrated woman. So now I just want to get out and meet people again so I can feel. In a way, this tour feels like the biggest thing I have done, to play my well-crafted debut album. But it’s also very nerve-wracking, says Molly Hammar.
With several platinum and gold singles under her belt, Molly Hammar has established herself as one of Sweden’s most prominent pop artists. She broke through widely in 2022 with her acclaimed interpretation of “Ingen annan rör mig som du” in TV4’s Så mycket bättre, which became a radio hit and her first number one on Spotify’s Swedish top chart.
Since then, she has continued to strengthen her position both in Sweden and internationally, with sold-out tours and collaborations with some of Norway’s most prominent artists, including Maria Mena, Julie Bergan, Emma Steinbakken, and Jonas Benyoub. She has also reached a global audience with the single “Deep Down” – the theme song for the Netflix success “Avgrunden” – and through the international hit “We Could Be Dancing” together with Bob Sinclar.
With over 100 million streams on Spotify and her debut album, Molly Hammar steps forward more clearly than ever – with a voice, an expression, and a direction that bears traces of her entire journey, yet simultaneously marks the beginning of something entirely new.
