Skådebanan Östergötland

Gallery Skådebanan is located in one of the beautiful entrance villas to Linköping’s Trädgårdsförening. We offer at least 8 exhibitions per year. These are characterized by good and interesting quality, focusing on current contemporary art.

Our activities strive for breadth and diversity. The galleries can display painting, graphics, textiles, sculpture, photography, glass, ceramics, installations, and conceptual exhibitions. We want to showcase the entire range from artists at the beginning of their careers to those who have pursued a lifelong profession.

We welcome people of all ages, from different social classes and with diverse cultural backgrounds to the gallery. We also have the “Lilla galleriet” where we sometimes exhibit various collaborative projects, for example, with schools and daily activities.

Skådebanan Östergötland is a non-profit cultural association with the task of making art and culture accessible to everyone from a justice perspective and to awaken people’s interest in art and culture. Besides the gallery, we run various cultural projects and have regional cultural assignments. We are mainly financed by funds from the Swedish Arts Council, Region Östergötland, and Linköping Municipality.
