A full day in Old Linköping
Bak & byk, Cloettaboden, and Valla gård
During this day, you will experience what Linköping was like a hundred years ago!

Solve mysteries in Valleby
Lasse and Maja need your help to solve the next tricky mystery. Can you handle it? LasseMajas Deckarhus is a new attraction in Gamla Linköping where you get to solve mysteries in Valleby, for real! You can choose between three different mysteries, and the detective house is suitable for the whole family. A group ticket for one mystery must be booked digitally in advance.
At Panini and Bernards café in the detective house, there is also delicious and affordable fika where you can recharge your energy levels after the intense mystery solving. Here you will find cookies, muffins, sausages, ice cream, juice, coffee, sandwiches, and more. Next to the café, there is also a shop to acquire your new LasseMaja books, for this, you do not need a ticket for a mystery.

Tasty packed lunch
Continue the day by recharging in the heart of Gamla Linköping. If you’ve packed your own treats in the lunch bag, there are many places where you can eat it. Perhaps you’ll simply sit down in a garden in the city quarters, or you might find one of the spots with tables and benches available at several locations. If you want a bit more greenery, we suggest Valla gård, and the entire Vallaskogen nature reserve is also at your disposal. If it’s barbecue weather, there are barbecue areas at Vallabackarna and Lill-Valla playground, where you can bring your own wood.

Take the right one – take Cloetta
This old slogan, created exactly 100 years ago, is probably unknown to the younger members of the group. But the candy selection available in Cloetta’s store is probably much more familiar. In this 1950s-inspired grocery store, you can browse through all of Cloetta’s popular and beloved candy varieties such as Kexchoklad, Center, Polly, Ahlgrens bilar, Plopp, and much more. We are sure that you will find your favorites here! Here you can make bargains among second-quality items and also find top quality at reduced prices. The experienced parent, of course, makes sure to have some sweets on hand to even out any potential blood sugar dips during the afternoon.

Country life at Valla Farm
Then head down to Valla Farm where there are friendly animals to pet such as horses, goats, sheep, and chickens. It’s easy to get caught up for a while among all the cute little creatures. You can also freely play in the toy barn with wooden animals if you prefer the calmer variants or visit the Valla museums displaying tractors, agricultural machines, wagons, sleds, trains, and other technology. Here, the family’s little ones can also fulfill the dream of sitting in a tractor! And if you still have energy left, Linköping’s largest playground Lill-Valla is just around the corner.

Bakery, laundry, and Children’s store
Tired? No, there’s still some energy left for the last stop of the day. Head back to the city quarters and play in the 19th-century environment. Or perhaps play is the wrong word, it’s hard work! In the staffed play and learning environment of Bryggaregården, children can help with everything from laundry to baking, cleaning floors, or beating rag rugs. You end the day at the Children’s store. Is there anything more fun than playing shop in an old trading store? Or being a postmistress? Or walking on stilts? Remember, you need to book the Children’s store in advance for one group at a time. You do this on the chalkboard at the store.
Sleep in the middle of the museum
Tired and full of impressions, you take the short walk to the accommodation you have booked for the night at Hilma Winblads Bed & Breakfast. Extremely charming rooms in two old 19th-century houses where every room is uniquely decorated. The entire family is likely to sleep well after this action-packed day. Sweet dreams!
